Inside the building

When you stand inside the central swing doors you will see the 19th century 2 manual organ on the left.

From the centre of the dome above you there once hung a gas chandelier.

You will see the pew numbers: you had to pay pew rent each year. Pews are arranged in a semi-circular fashion, with aisles at the left and the right leading to the front of the church and also providing access to the rear hall.

Straight ahead is the Victorian pulpit. In the early days it is suggested a trap door allowed the preacher to escape from the militia who were intent upon discouraging the protestants.
